We are students in Sweden's law programmes. We are on our way to becoming the jurists the rule of law will one day serve.
In April 2026, 33 jurists, professors, and former judges published a debate article in Dagens Nyheter warning of the most far-reaching transformation of the Swedish legal system in modern times. Core principles — legality, equal treatment, court independence — are being eroded rapidly, and legal objections are systematically dismissed as «activism» or «opinions».
As students, we share this concern. This is the legal order we are being trained into — and the one we will work within for the rest of our lives.
We therefore stand behind the #JuToo appeal and urge fellow students to sign below.
